HOWARD REIG dies at 87 Reig was best known as the voice behind the introduction to the "NBC Nightly News." He worked with famed anchormen John Chancellor, Tom Brokaw and Brian Williams during his more than 70 years of on-air announcing. He also had a brief stint as an announcer with "Meet the Press."
